Bean-ish

This is a blog of the places I'll be visiting and what I did there. To start this thing off:

Bean Town
45 N Baldwin Ave
Sierra Madre, CA 91024
(626) 355-1596

I went with Lauren M. and Emily M. at 10am and left around 2pm. I was doing research all day to buy a car. It was a really nice place except for the "crazy dream" soundtrack that they were playing most of the time that we were there. Too bad they didn't have more relaxing music.

Barney's Beanery
99 E Colorado Blvd
Pasadena, CA 91105

After working 8 hours toward the first car I own. We went to go play pool and had a few drinks. Barney's happy hour from 4-7pm (M-F) had $3 draft beers and half off a select menu of appetizers. We got the chicken fingers and the fried zucchini which I thought both were awesome. They had this spacious upper level with a bunch of pool tables. I'm not sure on this one, but I think there was free pool from 6-9pm. Other than the load of space, two other things to note about the upper level: 1. there was one room with just couches and a coffee table that seemed really fun to hang and, 2. behind the bar there was an outside sitting area (was a little too cold this time) that is another great place to hang.

Wow, I'm the second commenter on this blog (after dad, who thinks he's anonymous). Why the secrecy, Daddy-o?

Barney's is yummay.

Barney's is def one of my favorite happy hours. Pasadena location is cool -- they have mini TV's at every single booth. Didn't know about the pool table thing... maybe we'll have to go shoot pool there sometime?
